Uncover the Real Reason You Oversleep

If you can’t help but oversleep, to the point that you can call yourself a ‘sleep addict’, you need to listen carefully…

(NOTE: If you oversleep only now and then, and aren’t even sure if there’s anything wrong with that, find out if you just sleep too much »)

You see, if there’s one thing I know about most, it’s oversleeping. I used to oversleep very often most of my life, and had suffered from some of the terrible effects of this habit…

I went through years of struggle, trying anything that I could think of to stop oversleeping. These days I’m proud to be able to call myself an energetic ‘early riser’…

…and I’m happy to be able to help you do the same.

Let me get straight to the point…

The Real Reason You Oversleep

I’d bet that the main reason you oversleep is lack of motivation. OK, it might be on a subconscious level, and you may prefer to call it stress, depression, lack of purpose or plain boredom…

Bottom line is – you oversleep because part of you wants to!

As soon as you acknowledge the fact that you oversleep because there is some part of you that CHOOSES to stay in bed instead of facing life, the quicker you’d be able to stop oversleeping.

But what about physical causes, you ask? ‘What if I need more sleep’?

OK, let me make this clear. Yes, you could have Sleep Apnea (trouble breathing during sleep) or some other medical condition, and yes, you probably have some bad habits that damage the quality of your sleep, but…

These may cause you to need more sleep or feel tired when you get a decent amount of sleep, because you’re getting low quality sleep, but they are rarely the main cause of oversleeping. I mean, let’s face it…

There are millions of people with the same physical problems and bad habits and not all of them oversleep all the time, do they?

So why do YOU?

It’s because your bed is your ‘comfort zone’, your escape mechanism, it’s the way you procrastinate on tasks and  responsibilities…

Some people escape by watching TV, some play video games, some become workaholics, others take drugs… YOU oversleep.

How to Overcome the ‘Sleep Addiction’

So as I said, the first thing you need to do in order to stop oversleeping is to admit the fact that there is a part of you that chooses to oversleep.

Then, of course, you need to find out WHY, and then – confront it!

Now, I’m not a psychologist, and even if I were, I don’t think I would have been able to solve all your problems here and now…

That’s not the point anyway. Since what I want to help you do is to stop oversleeping, the solution is not in helping you overcome your emotional issues.

The solution to oversleeping is in deciding to FACE the problems, instead of running away from them.

The one thing I CAN say, from my personal experience, is that you need purpose, a worthwhile goal that would fire you up, give you a sense of meaning… or at least something that is worth getting out of bed for.

I just hope that what I’ve just told you will serve as a wake up call :-), and that you’d use it to take the first step – to stop oversleeping
